Synthetic placeholder; not legal advice. Telehealth consent placeholder for synthetic visits.

Telehealth limitations

Telehealth is not appropriate for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing chest pain, severe bleeding, suicidal thoughts, signs of stroke, or any other medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Some conditions require in-person evaluation, lab work, imaging, or a procedure that cannot be delivered through a remote visit. The clinician may decline to treat you over telehealth and refer you to in-person care if appropriate.

Jurisdiction & licensure

Care is delivered by independently licensed clinicians. The clinician you see must be licensed in the state where you are physically located at the time of the visit. If you travel out of state, your clinician may be unable to continue care until you return to a state where they are licensed.

Recording & records

Virtu does not record telehealth visits by default. Your clinician's notes and any messages, documents, or files you share are stored in your patient portal as part of your medical record. You can request an export through the portal once authenticated.
